Things local clubs can
do
- Collect
state/local laws for publication, to let other states know what they
might avoid, or adopt. People in the club may not even know what their
state responsibilities/laws are.
- Consider educational outreach in your
own club area (vets, pet industry, schools). BCA has Pet Information
Pages (PIPs) for the purpose. No matter how thorough we are, we have
only scratched the surface.
- Help underwrite one or more species
breeding partnerships; encourage member breeders to participate as partners.
- Donate directly to local avi-projects
or favorite national aviculture activities, veterinary educational or
research projects, or conservation sites or projects.
- Plan, underwrite an support a one
day education seminar with a national figure, and welcome others in
your area.
- Select a bird to breed intensively
as a club consortium, birds belonging to the participants.
- Bring a sense of wider worth to your
members, by special programs, member recognition, quality newsletter
using color for birds, people.
- Plan and do a 2-day BCA Educational
Convention for bird owners in your region in connection with your bird
mart. Recognize national aviculturist, veterinarians. Guidance available.
